Wireless Connecting a Printer to the Internet

To connect a printer to your wireless router, there are two possible ways. First, you can use a regular ethernet cable and plug one end into the printer's network port and then plug the other end into an open network jack on your wireless router.

The second way is more convenient but requires more steps.

This option uses three different types of adapters that are plugged directly into each other in order to create the final connection between your wireless router and printer. This option is most appropriate for a wireless printer.

Step 1: Buy a Printer Adapters Kit

To make the connection, you need to use three different adapters in conjunction with one another. These components are a wireless router adapter, a wired ethernet cable, and a wireless printer adapter.

To complete this connection with an online store like Amazon or Best Buy it would cost approximately $65 plus shipping and handling if you do not already own one of these items and need to buy each component separately.

The type of adapters that are used depend on what you already have and what kind of device you want to connect to your wireless network.
